“I’m going to live more like the person I want to be – instead of the person I have become.”
My journey revolves around four main pillars: harmony, wellbeing, abundance, and creativity.
In my humble opinion, your values and attitudes pretty much define who you are.
Being true to yourself in what you do and how you live your life settles the spirit, soothes the mind and warms the heart.
But, if you start living someone else’s life – someone who doesn’t share your values and attitudes – you soon start to feel out of balance, unhappy and exhausted.
Balance is important in life, family and work. Without it, stress takes over and destroys any hope of peace and tranquility.
- Be aware of your need for harmony
- Make deliberate choices to seek out a good life
I’m simply going to say that we need to take care of our body, mind and spirit. That includes loving ourselves and each other. Avoiding or positively dealing with life’s daily challenges takes its toll. Do what is best for you but remember…
- Balance & Moderation
Abundance and wealth mean different things to different people. Some people see abundance purely in economic terms; cash in the bank and assets to buy and sell. Being ‘rich’ in financial terms might also mean different things for different people.
Who is wealthier?
- A single man with $10 million in the bank.
- A family who lose everything to a bushfire but still have each other, even though they now have to rely on the charity of strangers to start over again.
- A 20-something person just starting out in life with a bag full of dreams, a lover on their arm and flowers in their hair.
I consider abundance to be a having a lot of something that I consider valuable. Both beauty and richness is in the eye and hand of the beholder.
Abundance or a lot of something isn’t necessarily a good thing. Being overweight for example is unhealthy. Having lots of money in the bank but never using it is considered by some to be a waste.
I used to say that I would rather be ‘broke and in love’ than ‘rich and miserable’. These days I’m all for ‘being in love’ and ‘living in abundance’.
I believe in striving, surviving and then sharing my good fortune.
Giving charitably to worthy causes when and as I can with increasing frequency and intensity as my abundance grows.
Giving no matter how small it may seem does make a difference.
A financial blessings prayer
Most gracious and loving Higher Power, we ask you that you abundantly bless our family.
We know that you recognize that a family includes its members and all who believe and trust in You.
Higher Power, we send up a request for financial blessing, for ourselves, our family and all who are dear to our hearts.
The power of joined belief and energy by those who believe and trust in Higher Power is more powerful than any thing.
We thank you in advance for your blessings.
Higher Power, deliver us from debt and debt burdens and bring us into generous flowing financial abundance.
Release your wisdom so that we may be good stewards over all that you have given us.
We know how wonderful and mighty you are, and how when we have faith, you will pour out your blessings.
We thank you now for all the blessings we have received, and for the blessings yet to come, because we know you are not done with us yet.
So it is!
Who you are is one thing, but do you know what you want to do or what impact you want to make on the world around you?
If you are totally happy with everything around you and you don’t much like change, you are blessed. As a creative I struggle with routine, following through and finishing things. We need each other.
If you’re like me (and struggle with finishing what you start because you get distracted by something else) then the need for creativity is pretty overwhelming sometimes. Without being able to express your creativity you feel shackled and a lesser human being.
Our creativity is often a hidden asset, under-used and misunderstood. How we get into and out of situations has a lot to do with how creative we are – even if we don’t know it. When we need to think or act quickly we draw on our experiences, knowledge and awareness of a situation. Often we act intuitively (and creatively).
How we devise our life journey can be carefully planned or haphazard and anywhere in between. We can let chance and fate have its way with us or we can try and direct our future and live our ideal lifestyle.
Love, appreciate and develop your creativity.
Think, speak, write, act and live more creatively.
Find someone to be creative with.
Create something new from an idea, a plan or a problem.
Develop your creative space, instinct and talents.
